LOCTITE® 416 is an ultra clear, medium viscosity instant adhesive suitable for plastics, rubbers and metals. It bonds quickly with a fixture time of 20 to 40 seconds and is compatible with standard hand assembly processes. It performs well even with difficult plastics when used alongside primer LOCTITE® SF 770.
Viscosity at 25 °C is 900 to 1 500 mPa·s (Brookfield LVF, spindle 2, 12 rpm)
Fixture time on mild steel ranges from 20 to 50 seconds and on aluminium from 10 to 30 seconds
Gap fill is approximately 0.15 mm
Shear strength on grit blasted steel is typically 18 to 26 N/mm² after 24 hours
Specific gravity is approximately 1.05 at 25 °C
Service temperature spans from –65 °C to +82 °C (–55 °F to +180 °F)
